DAY ONE

HOME AWAY FROM HOME...

Why did I sign up for an 8 am class... on a Friday... when I just went out last night.  Sometimes stupidity reigns.... Anyways it hasn't actually been too bad, however waking up today felt like I had been hit by a truck... and then he backed up and ran me over again.  But for real!  I can already tell I like this class, its interesting and we get to create things finally ending the "when am I going to do some hands on stuff" question that was buzzing in my mind.

I choose the 8 am for God knows what reason, because I thought it would be better to just get my Friday class out of the way, however now I'm also taking Spanish at noon so it really hasn't helped finish the day any sooner.  Instead I have to wake up, my head pounding as if it gave birth to a small child, my vision blurry, and my mouth as dry as the sierra desert.  And yes i said desert because some Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough would be absolutely amazing.

I suppose I will finish my blog with a picture that means a lot to me.  I am the youngest brother of three and my oldest brother recently got married this past October.  His wedding was in Folly Beach, Charleston, South Carolina.  Folly Beach is easily the coolest little beach town I have ever been to.  My brother invited his friends from college and about 50 of his closest friends made it down.  He went to Kenyon College and that's actually where he met his wife who is awesome by the way!  Anyways the whole experience was amazing, being at the beach with my family for such a special moment in our lives.  While we were down there it was as if time had stopped and it was all of us just hanging out at the beach.  This picture means a lot to me because its the exact view that my brothers and I looked out as the sun set on the beach the day before the wedding.

One of the happiest days of my life...

  1. Awesome Jay! I spent some time at Folly Beach while I was in undergrad at the College of Charleston. It really is gorgeous!

Welcome to 203 and yay for getting to do some hands on 'stuff'!
